An introduction to Crime Stoppers will be offered by Acting Sgt Tracey Coulston to learn more about how to keep your home and organisation safe. Keith is the Chairperson of Crime Stoppers who will deliver information about Fraud, Identity Theft and Scams which put people and businesses at risk.

Gold Coast Beach Paradeย โ€“ is a new world record attempt for the greatest number of people (men, women and children) in koala ear visors involved in a beach parade. It will be held onย Sunday, 16 May.

It’s time to support your local community, be social and meet new people by volunteering at this amazing event.ย To learn more about the festival,ย click here.

Beach Marshalls Volunteers are neededย to assist with people, directing and answering questions.ย Our beach parade participants will walk in single file and in these COVID times, we need everyone to stay socially distanced and we need your help in ensuring this is done in a fun, encouraging and good-natured way. If you are confident, like to be involved in community events, enjoy being outdoors and want to help save the cityโ€™s Koalas – this volunteer role is for you!

Times and dates:

–ย Saturday 15 Mayย at 4.30 pm – 5.30 pm: Volunteer Briefing, T-shirt collection and site familiarisation;
–ย Sunday 16 Mayย 10 am – 1.30 pm: Gold Coast Beach Parade.

Each year these volunteersย dedicateย overย 600 millionย hoursย to help others.
