The annual Gold Coast Careers Festival is the largest and most comprehensive careers event on the Gold Coast and one of the largest in Queensland. The Gold Coast Careers Festival brings together educators, high schools, students, parents, career advisors, prospective students and job seekers in an interactive and dynamic environment. Explore over 60 education and training providers including Griffith University, Bond University, Southern Cross University, TAFE Queensland and many others. The Gold Coast Careers Festival is open to the public and best of all โ itโs FREE! You donโt need to register, just head along to the venue for your opportunity to speak to over 60 exhibitors, including some of the cityโs biggest employers. Gold Coast Beach Paradeย โ is a new world record attempt for the greatest number of people (men, women and children) in koala ear visors involved in a beach parade. It will be held onย Sunday, 16 May.

Beach Marshalls Volunteers are neededย to assist with people, directing and answering questions.ย Our beach parade participants will walk in single file and in these COVID times, we need everyone to stay socially distanced and we need your help in ensuring this is done in a fun, encouraging and good-natured way. If you are confident, like to be involved in community events, enjoy being outdoors and want to help save the cityโs Koalas – this volunteer role is for you!
Times and dates:
–ย Saturday 15 Mayย at 4.30 pm – 5.30 pm: Volunteer Briefing, T-shirt collection and site familiarisation;
–ย Sunday 16 Mayย 10 am – 1.30 pm: Gold Coast Beach Parade.
