Aged Care Visitor
The Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme aims to address loneliness and isolation among Home Care Package recipients and Residential Aged Care recipients by connecting them with a new friend for weekly visits. Volunteering Gold Coast receives funding from the Australian Government to run the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme in our community.
A volunteer will visit regularly for a minimum of 20 visits per year, sit down, listen, and converse with the recipient. Volunteering Gold Coast will collaborate with the volunteer and the recipient to coordinate a visit schedule that suits both parties. Accessible Beaches
As a part of our ongoing mission to create social impact on the Gold Coast, we are helping to make beaches more inclusive and accessible to everyone.
Every weekend of the summer patrol season, accessible beach mats and beach friendly wheelchairs will be available at participating surf clubs, designed to assist people to reach the waters edge. Beach matting and beach wheelchairs are provided through the City of Gold Coast Beach Access Program.
Join our team of dedicated volunteers to help set up the mats and to provide care and support, ensuring participants have the best experience at the beach!
