VGC Ambassador: Nick Scott

It’s been said that Nick Scott is one of the most well-connected people on the Gold Coast. His generosity, easy-going nature, and business acumen have been a huge asset to Volunteering Gold Coast. Nick has long volunteered in various organisations and is also on the Board of many.

Spending over thirty-seven years working in senior roles in the media mostly on the Gold Coast, including Southern Cross Austereo, Nick hasn’t really shown any signs of slowing down. Simply shifting his energy into various projects. Nick owns and operates his own Business & Media Consultancy TGM. Consulting to local, national and international organisations and presently sits on various local Boards including Bond (University) Business School, Destination Gold Coast, and until recently the Gold Coast Community Fund.

Why did you agree to become a Volunteering Gold Coast Ambassador? I strongly believe in what VGC does, its Board, and its people.

What do you gain from being a Volunteering Gold Coast Ambassador? The feeling of giving back to the community has given me and my family so much.

What other community work do you support? Chairman of the Gold Coast Eisteddfod, Director, immediate past Chairman of the Gold Coast Community Fund.

In one word best describe what Volunteering Gold Coast means to you? Giving.
