Our ability to offer training has been significantly impacted by COVID-19. We are working on innovative ways to bring you training going forward. In the meantime, we can organise small group training on the following topics:
Join us and learn how to perform CPR and/or First Aid all at once, in a few hours. You can save someone’s life, a family member, colleague, or member of the community.
You may book just for the CPR training, or combine the CPR and First Aid training in a full-day session.

Clear position descriptions Be clear on the role you want the volunteer to undertake and what success looks like.
Set expectations Ensure your volunteers know what is expected of them & what to do when they’re not sure.
Comprehensive induction The volunteer should be fully inducted into the organisation so they understand how it operates.
Regularly prepare work Don’t assume they know what to do and be prepared with work for them each day.
Thank your volunteers Always stop what you’re doing and face the volunteer to thank them for their work.
Rewards programs Have a clear strategy of how you will reward volunteers and keep them motivated for their hard work.
Communicate changes Don’t surprise volunteers with change. Keep them informed and be open to suggestions & ideas.
Encourage questions Promote a “no question is a bad question” culture, one that they feel comfortable in asking questions.
Check in on progress Don’t just leave a volunteer alone; check they are going ok and allow them to raise any issues they might be having.
Ask for feedback Volunteers have tremendous backgrounds and experience, and can be an asset to advance your event, program or work place.
