As part of our ongoing mission to create social impact on the Gold Coast, we are helping to make beaches more inclusive and accessible to everyone.
Volunteers are urgently needed for our Accessible Beaches program to help people with wheelchairs, who have difficulty walking or families with prams enjoy a day at the beach. Can you help us?
We’re currently seeking volunteers for the below locations, days and times. We kindly ask for a commitment of once per month at a minimum.
The Program runs from 16th September – 5th May 2024.
Tallebudgera Creek (Saturday), Labrador (Saturday), Mermaid Beach (Sunday), Surfers Paradise (Sunday).
Shift Options – Shift 1: 8am – 12pm | Shift 2: 12pm – 4pm

“I am so grateful for the volunteer opportunity that your organisation gave to me. Because of your guidance and my vision, I am now studying to be a youth worker and starting my student placement. I cannot explain how happy I am right now and excited about making a difference in my community”

“I have volunteered for the Home Visitor program and have found it very rewarding. I was partnered with a lovely man and over coffee we have wonderful conversations about our lives, the world, and our own philosophies of life. It is a very important part of my weekly routine now and when I can’t visit, I miss it. The people at CVS are very helpful and supportive.”

“Realising the joy of giving without expectation through volunteering has been an invaluable experience for me. The sense of belonging with VGC has added to the experience.
The support, guidance and encouragement the approachable team provides is absolutely wonderful too. Thank you, Volunteering Gold Coast, for enriching my volunteering journey!”
