Drivers like Tony are what makes our Volunteer Drivers so important

Drivers are very important for our organisation as we rely on volunteers for transporting our clients to their various appointments. This is why we are particularly grateful for Tony’s dedication and support. Tony has been volunteering to drive with us for over 11 years. Such an amazing achievement!

Tony Inns is one of Volunteering Gold Coast’s longest standing drivers having commenced with us in November 2011. During his 11 years with us, Tony’s performance has been amazing. Having driven approximately 87,500 km’s over 569 days and averaging 155kms per day around the Gold Coast. That’s an amazing contribution to Volunteering Gold Coast and to all the people he drives around.

Tony is very popular with both the clients and staff because of his even temperament and kindness. Tony’s contribution to the community of the frail aged and people living with disability has been incredible. He drives for us one day per week and additionally when we are low on drivers. Aside from this is he is also extremely reliable and a great addition to our team. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Tony for his dedication and contribution over the years.

How you can help:

Volunteering Gold Coast is after many more amazing volunteers like Tony and we could use your help. We need everyone’s help to solve a growing problem for people in need of reliable transportation. Many are too frail or don’t have access to safe transportation, this is where our transportation services come in. For over 20 years now Volunteering Gold Coast has been providing transport services to the community. From getting clients to and from their appointments to social outings to helping with the shopping trips.

Driving with Volunteering Gold Coast also provides a chance to socialise and expand your knowledge of the gold coast area. It’s also flexible with choosing your own schedule, and where you drive. Plus a lot of fun and a great way to give back.
